Resonances: Modern Echoes, Contemporary Gestures

12 February - 14 March 2026
Overview

Through a curated selection of small-format works, Resonances brings together artists whose practices, grounded in different temporalities, enter into resonance. The exhibition privileges a sensitive reading of the works, attentive to gesture, material and form, revealing deep continuities beyond chronological categories.

Resonances brings together works by Chaïbia TalalInji EfflatounGeorges KoskasAmal Abdenour and Mahjoub Ben Bella, alongside those of Fela Kefi Leroux and Marie Chamant, in dialogue with contemporary practices by Zoulikha BouabdellahFarah KhelilAmel Bennys, Katayoun Rouhi and Fakhri El Ghezal.

Rather than opposing periods, the exhibition presents works shaped by singular artistic trajectories, deeply rooted in specific historical, cultural and personal contexts. Some practices developed outside dominant narratives, informed by lives marked by commitment, displacement, emancipation or the assertion of an independent voice. Others engage today in a conscious dialogue with these legacies, extending and reactivating forms, gestures and positions.

The exhibition unfolds through a fluid circulation between the works, in which each retains its autonomy while contributing to a cohesive whole. The intimate scale encourages close looking, reflection and comparison, a space of encounter where the works engage freely, beyond chronological markers.
